Good Afternoon Campers!
A sad new record..2 months between postings!! No excuses..I seem to spend most of my time on Facebook or Twitter and tend to neglect Blogger..I can only say I will try to write more often..I do miss it..and I always feel better after clearing my head so hopefully you'll see more from me.. :-)
The weeks seem to be slipping away from me..I can't believe the year is almost half over...and school will be out in a couple of weeks..insane!
Everything is going well here...our days are busy and are weekends are fun filled with trips to the lake and outings on our friends boat..on my days off I am enjoying reading poolside again...
My son Ryan has a new job..he is working for a property management company and is loving it..he is outdoors all day in the heat doing landscaping at the moment..he comes home ..showers..eats and sleeps! He has lost 15lbs in a month..he looks very fit and tan and I am thrilled that he got such a good opportunity..
My daughter Rachel continues to be in a toxic relationship..I have tried everything I can think of to talk sense into her but I guess until she is ready there is nothing I can do..I live in fear that she will end up a statistic but my hands are tied.. I have even talked to the police and told them my concerns but as she is a consenting adult there is nothing they can do either...it is the one black cloud that hangs over this family and at times it overwhelms me... :-(
My little job at Target is turning out to be such a joy in my life..the people are fun..we work hard but we have fun doing so..everyone is so upbeat and enthusiastic..it's contagious..I love going to work and the 3 mornings a week are perfect...
Hubby is winding down his career in the Military..I can't imagine him not putting on that Uniform on every morning ..it is definitely going to be an adjustment..he says he is ready but I think when it comes to it he will miss it terribly..he is in such a highly respected position in charge of over 500 sailors..he does not want another "career" he just wants to find something to occupy his time and supplement his retirement... and his Golf Game.. ;-)
Well that's all I can think of to write about for now..so I will leave you with a list of things I am grateful for this stormy Florida afternoon..
1. Blogging today..
2.. Stormy afternoons..and much needed rain....
3... Friends who share their Boat with us.. :-)
4....My Kindle Fire...
5..... All of you reading this..
Take care...

Great entries Lyn. Sounds like life is full & wonderful, sans your daughter's relationship. I pray that she sees the light soon and before something bad happens to hurt her. Our prayers work, I'd ask for them again in Call for support. Glad all in all things are going great. I wish I was as busy and upbeat as you are. Thank your hubby for all his years of service. You have reminded me that I need to do an entry. I just don't have anything quite as exciting to write about. LOLOL Enjoyed your entries.

It is always so nice to see your post. So glad you are enjoying your job and having a good time with friends. Sorry to hear about your daughter and will keep her in my prayers. Hope your hubby does enjoy his retirement. He deserves it after so many years of service to our country. I'm sure he'll find something he likes to do to fill in the time. Hope to hear more from you soon. Many are doing fb and twitter but I'm only blogging.
Same here, have to pay more atention to my blogging.
I've been blogging a bit more than usual lately. Good to see you here. Congrats to your son on his job, and to your husband on his impending retirement.
The job sounds good, the problem? many folks have the same problem and concerns!!!! One in our family.
Also the retirement. Funny one day you ARE SOMEBODY, and the next day you are just an unemployed Civilian. But that is the point a civilian.
It will take some adjustments, but it is worth it. Presently we are completely retired..
Love from here Hug a Sailor today!
Lovely to see you back on blogger!
Sad to hear your daughter is in a bad relationship. Our eldest girl was too with her first husband, thankfully she finally saw the light and left.
I hope your daughter does too.
So good to see you here again. you got a Kindle Fire. Be honest do you LOVE it more than books??? What are you reading??? So happy for your son and you having jobs you LOVE. I am saddened by your daughter's situation. You must be worried sick. It is unfortunate that your hands are tied and you must watch and wait. I know your hubby will enjoy the time off at first, but he'll get bored and will find something else. TAKE CARE.
Glad to hear things are mostly up beat.
