FROM MY BED...

Good Evening Campers...

Yes I am writing this from the comfort of my bed...I am listening to old 70's love songs and getting nice and sleepy..I finally gave in and bought myself a Laptop..now I am wondering what I ever did without it!! I can sit here in my big 'ol comfy bed..listen to cheesy love songs and not have anyone bothering me!!

So..where to start..so much has been going on..I am loving my new job..I am so proud of myself because I really wanted to quit in the first few days because the interview process and the training was so intense...But now I am finding my groove and am actually doing pretty well if I do say so myself! :-)

Things at home are a mess..I don't even feel like writing about it all but I will say that my father-in-laws wife is a complete bitch and has done some terrible things..she was disrespectful at the viewing and funeral and there are some legal issues going on so I will leave it at that. The service was beautiful..very touching..it was a sad day for us all..BUT the road trip to and from Tennessee was amazing..such a bonding experience for us all...we laughed..we cried..we shared stories of Ralph..we ate crazy junk food..stayed in cheesy hotels and generally made the most of a sad situation..bottom line is I love my family to pieces and I will never ever let what has happened to Lester's family ever happen to mine...never ever forget where you come from and treat everyone the same...

Well that's all for tonight..maybe now I have my very own laptop I will write more huh?

L xx

I would love a laptop but money will not allow, the home improvements had to take priority. I know only too well about trouble in families, my sister-in-law and I did not speak for the seven years before she died (her fault - she was the most jealous, bitchy, trouble-making woman I ever knew).

Hi! Lyn

I have my own little office on the top floor(my house is on 4 floors)I live alone most of the time, but I really fancy a laptop....Allan keeps putting me off, saying I don't need one.
Glad you are settled in your new job.My family fell apart years ago, after Divorce, and then we loose family members, and life changes,BUT, life has to go on, and I make the best of things.

*Thanks for yur recent comments

It's great to hear from you and I know how great a lap top is as I have one myself. I love being able to take it anywhere. Glad the job is good and that you like it too. It is when times get tough that our families mean the most. Hope your Tuesday is a TERRIFIC one!

Hey girlfriend. Aren't laptops the best? You can even blog from the pool! Now what could be better then that? I am so glad you are loving your new job. I have another lead on a little job that may start next month. Not career ... certainly nothing as cool as the doctor that I was going to be ::vbeg::, but a little job to get me started. ::sigh:: we'll see. Anyway, glad to see you posting again! hugs.

Once you have a laptop, you don't go back to a desktop.

I'll never buy a desktop computer again. I love my laptop and take it everywhere with me.

I'm sorry there was drama during your father-in-law's funeral. There's always one in the family.

Have a good week.

Sorry for the drama, but the rest of the funeral sounds like it was good.

I remember feeling the same way when I first got a laptop. Glad you are enjoying yours! I am very sorry that along with the sadness of losing a loved one you have to deal with difficult family members as well. Hope things turn out well.

Family baggage & moods & disorders...oh, I could go on....always a bitch. Sorry about all that. Avoid what you can.

I'm thrilled for you that you are enjoying your new job. I used to hate starting new jobs because there is this huge learning curve and you tend to feel all out of sorts. Kinda like a new pair of shoes that have to be broken in, and until they are you just feel uncomfortable.

So sorry to hear about the family drama that cold, cold woman has started. I believe in karma, she will regret what she has done.

Sappy love songs. A new laptop. A terrific job. Sounds like you've got good reason to be in a GREAT mood. Try not to let the stuff from your MIL ruin it. Just hang in there.

Hi Lyn,

I'm pleased the job is working out for you, and congrats on the new laptop. Personally, I can't get on with mine and much prefer the big old beast up in the den.

It's a shame when family issues get stirred up. I hope things settle down soon.
