Good morning campers!
I don't know where to start...my life seems to be insane at the moment....I guess I will just back track and try to remember the last week....
As you know we had the pre deployment meeting which was a huge success..the turn out was over 300 people...hubby was very pleased..what people did not know though was that an hour before the meeting they find out that the place of deployment has changed!!! they decided to just go ahead and do the meeting as planned and NOT announce the change so as not to cause mass panic....so all the literature etc they handed out has to be replaced...the good news is they are going to Japan..yes Japan..the original plan from a year ago!! Gotta love the Navy...so guess where hubby is at the moment? yep ..you guessed it Japan!! he has to figure out the birthing etc all over again...between me working 50 hours last week and the changes in plans I am exhausted..mentally and physically...I WILL never work 5 days in a row again..by Friday night I was just mush...just let me mention that it's not just 5 days from 8-5..we are talking 12 hour shifts....maybe I am just old or something but I can't do it anymore...I am so behind in everything....but I have the next couple of days off so I need to get organized for my trip... <insert big arse smile here> I am so excited...my sister sent me an email this morning and enclosed a pic of herself...I cannot believe she grew her hair that much since October..I don't know if I like it or not..what do you guys think? and I can't figure if she's dressed for a fancy dress party or if that is the fashion over there at the moment...can we say 70's?? See how flipping skinny she is....<sigh> but she never had kids so........... :-P
Okay I am rambling..a clear sign I need to get off here and get ready for work...
Sorry I haven't been commenting..I am so far behind I am just going to have to delete and start over....
have a good week...

I hope you don't ever have to work those 5 12 hours days again. That would be terrible. It's good you have your trip to look forward to. Your sister is so pretty. I remember that style from the 70's. Have a great couple of days off ! 'On Ya' - ma
It's a little Austin Powers(y?) ya think? I think it looks good on her, but I could never do it.
I know you worked your ass off, but think of all the $$ you have made for that trip. (so wish I was going with you).
Glad hubby is in Japan and not the alternative (Thank you Lord)
You have to read me...I let out a secret....

That picture is a hoot! I know you all are very relieved to be sending your loved ones to Japan and not the other place!!!! Yeah! No, you are not getting old, 5 days of 12 hour shifts is HARD. Blessings and rest to you.

I actually thought it was an older pic when I first seen it before I read your blog. I do like it tho. I like the hair on HER but I would not like it on ME! maybe the 70's style is current there.
My daughter would be so jealous of your husband being in Japan. Nicci wants to go to Japan badly. Enjoy your day!
Missie
EEEKKKKKKKKKKKKKkkkkkkkkkk 12 hr shifts no wonder you are tired....... i know the feeling about getting older........ everything takes a day and a half as opposed to half a day and you ache so much the next day its a shame....lol.
Glad to hear that hubby is going to Japan........ GREAT NEWS.
Take care......hugs Jayne
p.s. That outfit is scary!
She's skinny? Hmmm...
Yea Japan!
Been thinkin' of you!
Your sister's look is definitely from the 70's, but she is soooo pretty! I say wear whatever makes you comfortable & feeling good about yourself :)
That is so cool about your husband being in Japan.....it must be fun to see different places like that, I'm sooooo jealous!!
I can understand why you are tired....whew! My daughter works 5 days on....14 hour shifts, then 2 days off at Disney World, and by the end of the 5th day she is hard to talk to because she is soooo cranky & cynical. But then she catches up on her rest and is happy again.....ahhhhh, youth!!! LMAO!
Pack away my friend....your trip to see your Dad is almost here, whooohoooo!!!
Pooh Hugs,
Linda

I think she looks rather fab........... Yeah, it's the fashion here. As for being old, I know what ya mean.
Gaz xxxx
OMG... She looks like she is a member of ABBA! LOL.. I'm sorry.. You know, in Europe fashion hits there first. I'm sure what she is wearing is what everyone's wearing! Anyways, she has inspired me to dress up tonight! I don't think I have bell bottoms tho! (I'm going to see Mamma Mia muscial tonight.) You must be soo over work-enjoy your time off! :) Julie
Lynn, believe me, I haven't seen an outfit like that on any highstreet over here. But she must really like it or she wouldn't have had her picture taken in it, huh? Bless.
Love,
Susie
She's in her jim-jams, surely? ;O)

Oh my goodness is that 70's or what!! I kinda like it....very spring.... looks cumfy, but yes, inquiring minds want to know if that is the style or if she is bringing it back in?!! I could wear that to do my calls in for the veterans. Wow hubby in Japan!! Cool you will get nice souvenirs from Japan but I know how much you must miss him and will miss him. ugh, that five day schedule... I am still doing it and I feel too old too. Hugs,
Lisa
My son is in the Marine corps stationed in Japan right now ... could your hubby stop in and check on him? LOL
Stacy
I'm hoping that she's going to a fancy dress party lol.........Her hair looks okay. Hopeing and wishing that your hubby is safe x

she looks 70s from head to toe...lol
she looks lovely
It's got to be hard being a Navy mum. Not having someone there for long stretches of time cannot be fun. That picture, I must say a very interesting outfit. Hope you have a happy hump/no panty day tomorrow you silly bird.
Phil
I imagine (and it sounds like it from your end) that Japan is preferable...I hope it all goes well for both of you. I love your Sisters outfit! I couldn't wear it LOL too much chest and I too much in the hip area... she looks svelte! LOL... But Lyn, you are beautiful also. Hugz* Teresa
Is it difficult to have your sweetie so far away? I'm sure it is better he be in Japan instead of some of the alternatives. I hope you have a happy tomorrow. : )
Allison
hey my dear friend...always nice to hear from you
Marti
Great to hear from you Lyn and have a good catch up. I know you must miss your husband. Will you be able to go over to Japan and see him while he is away? That would be fab! You sound really excited over your trip! Your sister is very pretty! But then so are you. Good looks must run in the family!
love,
Marie

PS My sister is skinny too... I'm afraid I inherited all the fat genes!
I'm glad he's in Japan and not anywhere else !
Stay strong my friend. Your sister looks great - but then , so do you !
hugs,
Ellen
Lyn glad Hubby has gone to Japan ~ much friendlier place for him to be ~ I am not surprised you are exhausted working a 50 hour week ~ I think your sister looks lovely ~ don't think it is fashion here at the moment (But what do I know) it is very pretty ~ Ally x
Glad to hear from you. I know you must really be excited about your trip and enjoying getting ready for it. Take care!
Lori
Ok, so she's skinny but her outfit sucks. Deduct points for that ;-0. I used to work 12 hour days all the time & had full time jobs plus part on top many years, BUT I didn't have kids & I didn't care what my house looked like, that ain't you. You don't have to work that many hours, so be a 2 day a week Diva.
I am so happy you are going to the Uk & even more so for the reason. I know I don't know your Dad, but give him a big birthday kiss for me too. ~Mary
Too bad you can't go to Japan with him! I would love to go there one day. Hope he stays safe.
Not so sure about your sister's outfit....otherwise she looks good :)
I work 10-12 hour days 5 days a week so I know exactly how you feel. We seen so many patients Tuesday, by the evening at home my legs actually ached! Hope this week is better for you.
Hugs,
Gretchen
Hello there~
You poor thing having to work so much. I am with you, I can't do 12 hours anymore. Been there and done that and no more! I can do 5 days a week, but that's it :).
Your sis is so pretty! But, I think she would look fantastic with a short cut like you have. She has the perfect face for a cute, short hair cut.
I can't believe your hubby is in Japan. OMGosh! I hope he isn't gone too long. You must just miss him :(
Have a great time and get some rest, enjoy your days off.
Bigges HUgs,
Gayla
I couldn't do that many 12 hour shifts in a row! No way! You are in better shape than I am! LOL!
That's quite an outfit she's got on. It does look 70's but I LIKE IT!! She's very pretty!
Glad hubby is in Japan! What a relief, huh?
Have a good night,
Pam
Hi Lyn....I think that 12 hour days are too much! And being in the profession we are in, porple don't realize that we don't get 15 minute breaks every 2 hours or even a lunch break. Have a happy : )
hugs, Bethe
What a relief about the change of venue, may be more work for hubby in prep but surely so much safer.
As for your sister's outfit, ( Doing best Will Smith impression from M I B)
Damn!!! What part of England does she live in? Cus I sure as hell ain't seen nothing like that in the shops in Worcester. LOL!!!! But then I am dead jealous of her figure, so maybe I'm being a little bitchy there.
Have a good weekend,
Linda x.
