Good Morning Campers!
Thought I had better write something for February!! I don't know where the month has gone to be honest..it just kind of got away from me!
Not too much to report here..Hubby quit smoking which is actually big news...he has smoked since he was 15..he did quit once for what I thought was a year when he had Cancer but he was actually smoking behind my back..ever since then I have not said a word about him quitting..he knew how I felt about it mind you..so anyway at Christmas time we all caught colds and he noticed that everyone elses cough cleared up when the cold ran it's course where as his lingered..I think he realized it was because of his smoking..so with the help of Wellbutrin from his Dr, he quit..it will be 6 weeks this coming Tuesday ..so far so good...his cough has gone and he said he feels better and that food tasted great!! I am very happy...
Next month is my 50th Birthday..while I am not really bothered about the number I do think it's a bit of a mile stone..I guess I am officially middle aged and that just sounds old!! To celebrate my BFF from England is meeting me in NYC for a weekend of shopping and fun...I am really excited..we are going the weekend after my birthday because I do not fancy NYC over St Patty's day weekend LOL!
I have been reading a lot...spending time outside enjoying the cool temperatures.. before we know it we will be sweating and complaining about the heat and humidity so I make the most of the fresh air...
Work is going well..I love my little Part Time job...it fits me perfect..I never really liked working full time..
Well that's about it from my little corner of the world..like I said not a whole lot going on...hope you are all having a great weekend...I don't think I have too many readers anymore mind you..

You probably have more readers than you think Lyn!! What full you will have on your weekend to NYC. Good times! Glad that Lester has been able to quit smoking. I quit 24 years ago and it's the best thing I ever did for myself! Praying he sticks with it. Love you. xxoo
Congrats to your hubby on quitting. Mine had been smoking since he was 12. He's been cigarette free for 3 years now. So excited about your birthday trip. You are going to have so much fun. I was in the hospital for my 50th getting my knees scoped. I promised I would do something for my 55th. It came and went. Time moved forward and that milestone and ones that followed were ignored. So sad. All my excitement comes from the books I read. LOL Take care.
I'm still here Lyn and always love to see an entry from you! Glad all is well in your part of the world. I have a March birthday too but am not doing anything quite as exciting as you. I remember when I turned 50 and the kids had a party for me. That seems ages ago now...I didn't really think of it as a mile marker as much as I thought 60 was. Anyway I do hope you have fun celebrating. Unlike you I'm looking forward to the warmer days. Our weather in July will probably be like you have there now.
What a joy ot see the alert from the BRIT. Ahhh another trip, this time to NYC. My wife would gladly go, not me. Good for the hubby on quitting smoking. One of the hardest things I ever did.
My girl preferred the part time job also, a little extra invome plus the interaction was good for her.
Well done to your husband for giving up smoking. I wish mine would (although I will go and live elsewhere whilst he did it!!). How lovely a trip to NYC my son is desparate to go there...or any part of USA come to think of it.xxx

I just hope he doesn't find food his next addiction... cos I did when I stopped smoking.

Turning 50 isn't that bad! It's all in your attitude.
Congrats to the hubs! That is wonderful news!! I know you are proud of him! Enjoy your upcoming birthday trip! It sounds exciting & fun!!!
