Good Morning Campers!!!
Happy Anniversary to good old J Land!!...
J Land was the first place I kept an online Journal....most of you reading this came from there..it was an amazing community...(I miss the ping of the alerts as I got a comment!! ) We wrote about our every day lives..our good times our bad...we were a part of each others lives..we were a family..if someone didn't post for a couple of days we checked up on them...it was so nice to sit down in front of the computer and know that there was someone out there...we posted photos..made tags... answered Memes..decorated our pages for the holidays..sent each other Christmas cards...it was incredible...I am not sure why we didn't keep this up on Blogger but we didn't..one by one we quit writing..granted there are a few of us who still blog daily..Heather and Sonya and "on ya Ma" and of course Guido come to mind...but most of us drifted away..we have managed to find each other on Face Book for which I am grateful but I still miss the intimacy of J Land..I for one do not post a whole lot of personal stuff on FB...it's such an open forum..it's not the same as writing in your Journal..well that's how I feel anyway..I still do an occasional post in this blog but no one seems to read it anymore and while we are supposed to be writing for ourselves you all know we love our readers and getting comments!!
So Happy Anniversary to J Land...I miss all of you..thanks Guido for making us dust off our keyboards and actually write something!!!!

great post, when I came to your page and saw your header of your happy family I had to smile!! I remember in 2004 sitting in front of my old clunker of a computer trying to do an entry took 4 EVER! I wanted pics so I found graphics online then I got a camera and a cord to put my pics online! I was in HEAVEN! we have come so far! I wonder how will the future birthdays look? xoxox

Yes I agree too.I don't know how I came to join J/Land to be honest but I loved every minute of it and it certainly helped me in my depression days.Like you said there was always someone there to help and see you through.I joined facebook as you well know,when poeple seemed to drift from blogger, but I must be honest and say it has no comparison.Have a great day.Take Care God Bless Kath xx
There are a lot of good memories from the AOL days. I really don't know what happened when blogger took over. I felt like I lost a lot of good friends. Yes, I still do journal everyday and it's a part of my life now so I suppose I'll continue to do so as long as I can. Good to see your post today!
I remember not a day would go by when I didn't make a post and read everyone elses. I loved meeting so many new people and traveling so many places from my home. The photos, I count many jlanders as my friends today.
I was a late comer to J Land, but I fell in love with it & my follow J-Landers! I do continue to blog as much as possxible, but it isn't the same as J-Land!
Nostalga, ah what memories it brings. I too enjoyed J-Land and am finally getting to know a little about blogger. Wonder where deveryonde esle went, other than face book.

Yes I miss the good old days! I like bloggers style and ease, but I DO miss the good old days.
I was a lurker on J-Land and came to love each and every one of you. I decided to join the conversation when you all came over to Blogger.
I miss the old J-Land days too Lyn. How could we not. It was a very special community of friends. I haven't sent your picture yet. Been waiting til the end of the month and pay day! xxoo

You're so right Lyn. We all seem to be drifting apart slowly but surely. I keep telling myself I'll get back to writing inmy blog but it hasn't happened yet.
