Just me...

Good Morning Campers!!

Been a while again hasn't it?? I was inspired to write this morning after reading some blogs and realising how inspirational reading about everyone else's lives is to me. I am a bit of a loner these days..I work so many hours during the week that come the weekends I just seem to play catch up and am not really doing any socializing and it was just nice this morning to read what everyone else has been up to. I was cheered up considerably and am in the best mood now...so thank you all you bloggers out there!!!

Things are going well here.. I had the best weekend earlier this month..went to meet hubby in Memphis..we hung out on Beale Street..listened to some great music..ate some awesome food...walked around all the shops and also went to Graceland..that was awesome!! I will have to post the pics here..I did put them on Face book but i need to put them here. It was wonderful to spend time with my hubby and reconnect. He will be home for a month in December..for Christmas and New year!! I told him I will never spend a Christmas alone after last year.

Work is okay. we have just been the end of year rush to make numbers.. and ACICS inspection and an Audit so things have been very very stressful. I am looking forward to just being able to focus on my job...LOL.. things with my co-worker/friend have improved. I was right..the people who need to know do know without me having to say a thing..her actions speak for themselves...

Lots of sad news from back home in England..one of the girls I went to school with daughter gave birth to her first child and died after catching MRSA from a C-section...can you imagine the bitter sweetness of having your first grandchild but losing your daughter because of it?? I cannot imagine..so so sad...my brothers wife's dad has dementia and her sister just got diagnosed with MS..one of my friends over here lost her sister and her Mum in the same week.. so much sadness in the world..makes you ask why???

All in all I am so very very blessed..I am grateful for this life of mine..it may not be easy and I am lonely a lot of the time without my hubby but in the grand scale of things I am pretty lucky... I have a wonderful family..love my house..have a job that challenges me ..good friends..good health.. and live in sunny Florida.. :-)

This is my favourite time of year..although we are having a heatwave at the moment..I was actually in the pool yesterday!! But the cooler temps are on the way..the shops are filling up with Christmas stuff already...and I am filled with the wonder and joy that only this time of year brings..I intend to enjoy every second of it all this year...

I know this post is all over the place this morning but that's okay...out of the 192 followers I have I doubt one third will read this..Who are you all anyway? How about introducing yourselves?? LOL

Have a great week everyone...

L xx

I do agree about bloggers being wonderful. I always start my day with a post and then reading. I'm glad that all is well with you and that you are counting those blessings. From here till the New Year it gets busier and busier. This time of year is a lot of fun and I'll be enjoying it too. I hope your week is a great one!

Sounds like you're keeping yourself busy between work and home. What exciting news about your hubby coming home, in time for Christmas. Sorry to hear about all the sad news, overseas, though. You have a TERRIFIC week. Let us know what books you're reading... I just got Izzy's War by Isla Dewar.

Well, you are someone who took the blog journey with me about my Dad, so I could never forget you.
I'll take you all over the place, rather than not have an entry.

Lots of sad things happen in the world... it's just a fact of life.
Do I need to 'introduce' myself ... really?

We're jealous, Adam misses FL. In actual fact he hates London, can't wait for us to pack up and move over there, but it's gonna take some time.
I'm so shocked after reading about that poor woman who caught MRSA! It's horribly shocking and so tragic for her family. I am glad that you're doing well, I read about your secret visity with your hubby on FB. Sometimes we just don't find time to blog, but there is usually always time for FB! xx

Re the cards. Lyn I don't take Credit cards! I'm just a hobby seller!
You can always do what everyone else does and just chuck the cash in a card and post it... I've never had any get lost yet!
I will show the pictures of the Beach Bum Cards again tomorrow on my blog. Most of them are sold now... but I can make more if you wish.

I'm sorry to hear about the losses. But I am glad you are holding onto and cherishing the blessings you do have in your life, especially since nothing is ever certain, except for the moments we have now.

Hy Lyn, hope all is going well with you. So you were in TN? Cool. Did you go through Nashville and wave?

Hope you have a nice Halloween weekend. I know what you mean about working all week and then enjoying the read on the weekends. I've been more in a blogging mood lately than facebook.
