Good Morning campers!!
Wow it has been a while aye? I see they have added more mood selections..when did they add those??
I haven't really been anywhere..just here in one of my "funks"..just a combination of a lot of things at once..hubby leaving...anniversaries spent alone...a nasty bout with a tummy bug...and a raging case of PMS..so as the old saying goes if you haven't got anything nice to say don't say anything at all...:-) I will be starting over though as my alerts are in the triple digits... I will be making my rounds this morning to try and catch up...
My son turned 18 on the 6th June..he is now in Myrtle beach for a week with a bunch of his friends..this is a gift from one of the parents for her daughter graduating..she took a bunch of them on vacation..god bless her is all I have to say...LOL..so they will be somewhat supervised..but as my son likes to tell me "I am 18 now Mum".. we did have a cook out here Friday afternoon to celebrate and everyone seemed to have a great time...the weather has been steamy hot here so they enjoyed the pool... I looked on in envy at all the tight hot little bodies all over the place...oh to be young again... ;-)
Hubby is settling in over in Japan..we have talked a couple of times on the phone..it is their rainy season there and he said it absolutely pours for 2 hours every afternoon..he purchased his first ever umbrella...LOL.. I miss him and have to admit it feels a bit lonely here...and the chores he does now fall on me with help from "the kids" and it was all feeling a bit daunting last week but as I get into a new routine it is all falling into place...at least I am staying busy... ;-)
Not much else to report..as I said it is steamy hot...highs in the 90's this past week...pool temp is 86..gas is now $3.95 a gallon...has anyone noticed a decrease in traffic? I certainly have...Superwalmart was empty yesterday too..a sign of the times or the heat???
Hope you are all having a great weekend...

Sorry you were ill lyn and glad you are on the mend. I noticed shopping has been down too. I know its been painful to fill up my car at the tune of almost $60, UGH. I sure wish I had stuck to my guns and gotten the Honda Civic like I wanted, LOL.
I'm sorry you weren't feeling well. I suspected your husband leaving & feelings for your Mom had you a bit down. I'm glad you are turning the bend on that, but it is still very hard.
Laughing at your husband purchasing his first umbrella :-).
Don't be so quick to volunteer to help make up other employees days at the office while your husband is away, could turn overwhelming with the added responsibilities you have at home.
I think raging PMS is a good way to get some of the pent up anger out; glad I wasn't there ;-0.

Well I'm glad you're back. I know you miss hubby, but I'm so glad you all are able to talk on the phone. Happy Birthday to your son that was my FILs birthday too. I'm sure he's having a blast in Myrtle Beach. Your gas is around the same price as ours. I really haven't noticed a slow down YET, but I don't get out much. The other day our Walmart was running over, but mostly people grocery shopping so I guess they had to. Hope you have a great weekend what is left.
Take care and Hugs, Chrissie
Hey girl,
I did my entry this morning in photos, of my drive to work and back yesterday and now that you mention it there was NO traffic. We are having a heat wave too, and our pool isnt even open yet! Happy 18th Birthday !!! Back in the day it was legal to drink at 18, ah, times have changed.
I miss you, that's for sure.
Hugs and love

Hello - your weather sounds fabulous, luckily its a gorgeous day here too (tho not as hot as you have it!). Petrol here is grossly over priced, and there have been demonstrations by road hauliers to tell our government its to damn high.....will they listen tho?
I hope you and hubby will not be parted for to long.
Jayne
Great to see your entry today :) It must be so hard to have hubby gone not only emotionally but now with all the work you have to keep up with. I just told my hubby yesterday...he had to fish an apple out of the toilet...that if he were not here I would have had to pay a plumber hundreds! We had to take that silly toilet right off the place it rests! It was a nasty job! Tell your son..he may be 18 but he is WILL always be your baby ;) KIDS!!! When will they ever realize that!?
It has been hot & muggy here too, but alas no pool to cool off with.
Went to bed pissed off at my hubby & didn't sleep a wink & have to teach Sunday school this morning with puffy eyes. GREAT.
Michele
I'm so glad to hear from you. I was wondering how you'd been adjusting to hubby being away. At least now you can start the countdown to when he returns. That has got to be better than counting down till when he LEAVES! Hope to see you here more often. It's hot as heck here and I'm in a yucky mood too...but this too shall pass.
((hugs))
Jeanne
I am sorry that you are left without a helpmate for while. Good for your son getting a vacation. My daughter has been at Myrtle Beach the last few days. I have no idea when she will be back. She doesn't live in my town. It has been in the mid 90's here in Alabama this week. We need some rain badly. Hope your day turns out to be great. Helen
The mood choice thingy went on about a week ago ,so the do listen to us lol , Its warm and sunny herein the UK todayhope it lasts more than a couple of days ,but you know our weather ,Ido hope you are getting your head round Lester not being there ,take care ..love Jan xx
i feel ya on the mood swings thats how i been latelyand the heat doesnt help at all. when will hubby be returning back to you? Happy belated birthday to your son enjoy th rest of your day hun!!
hi lyn my son and wife have been living in japan also since sept for next three years ..i miss them but not like you miss hubby im sure .....they are both in navy they have two children....hope you are feeling better soon love Sue
((((hugs)))) Lyn, I know how much you must be missing your other half. It's no fun being everything to everyone all on your lonesome! Been there, done that as you know. I hope you are feeling better now. I have missed you. J-Land seems very quiet these days. Hardly anyone posting anymore. I Like to think that everyone is just busy enjoying the good weather and what not! Of course Angie and I have absconded to Blogger! My baby just got accepted into the Canadian Military in the Airforce as a Avionics Systems Tech so he will be off to boot camp soon. I don't know how I feel about that. It is hard to think about. I don't want my baby going anywhere that would place him in danger, but all mothers of soldiers feel the same, as do wives... I just want him to be safe and happy.
Thanks so much for visiting me earlier. Made my day to see your name!
lots of love,
Marie

You think you're hard done by? We pay around £5 per gallon over here ($10 approx!)
We've got a little of your weather today though - high eighties at the moment. Hope it lasts.

:( I can tell you are lonely. I hope you are feeling better soon. It's getting warm over here, but not in the 90's yet. I wish I had a pool! :) Take care - Julie
I always enjoyed when my son went to spend the night at a friends house. I always worried that he would get into trouble...which he did...but I am happy to report he is a fine young man of 24, working a full time job and loving it, and just enjoying life. We gotta let em go...no matter how hard it is for us...but it does tend to suck eh? I sometimes wish my little boy was still home.
Connie
Your gas prices are cheap, be glad you aren't paying $4.39 like me. Hope you get out of your funk.
Phil
enjoying the weekend by staying indoors out of this heatwave, lol. plus i have my aby granddaughter here for the weekend. she is such a good baby. happy 18th to your son. I hope the time goes fast and your hubby is home soon. ((((((Hugs)))))
Love,
Cindyxoxo
Aw, Im sorry to hear you have been a funk!! That sux, but it feels so good when you come out of it!! You can always come to Nashville for a visit!! LOL Doesnt it just make you sick to see all those little hotties in their swim suits....ugh!!
Hugs
Carrie
Sorry you've been feeling bad. I'm glad you're back. Gas is well over $4/gallon here now. I have noticed less traffic. Everyone has. That's not saying much here though....it's still bad. Hope you feel better soon, and it's good to have you back.
Pam
I always wondered where Florida people went on "vacation." Myrtle Beach. Huh.
Who knew?
I was gittin' ready to email ya 'cause it's been awhile. I mean you don't write as much as you used to anyway, but it seemed even longer than your "new" usual.
GLAD TO HEAR FROM YA!!
I say FOOK, the chores. No one will know you haven't done any for six whole months. The week before Hubby returns you have a house cleaning PARTY. Get everybody loaded and hand them a broom. Set up a score system where so much work earns you a dip in the pool.
COME ON, WOMAN! CHORES ARE FOR "KIDS." IT'S SUM-SUM-SUMMERTIME!!!
:D
I don't wanna go out shopping because it's so hot. Sticking my nose out the door to water my plants is about as far as I go.
Have a couple margaritas.....that's got to help something. :)

Lyn sorry you have been in a Funk ~ hope you are feeling better now ~ glad to see you back ~ Happy belated Birthday to your Son ~ hope he is having a great time in Myrtle beach ~ glad you got to talk to Hubby hope his tour of duty flys by and he can be home with you again ~ although Gas is very dear here there does seem to be as many cars on the road regardless ~ living out in the country we have to drive as the bus stop is a good mile and a half down the road ~ but we try to do everything in one swoop ~ and take my little car which is much more economical ~ hope you are having a good weekend ~ Ally x

We have really noticed the lack of traffic and more bicycles out then even. Every time my hubby leaves appliances and cars break down making me so frustrated. He can fix almost anything and I just stare at them in anger. Work you stupid thing! These days everyone seems younger and tighter them me. Sigh. Oh well, let them enjoy their days in the sun.
Julie
Nice to see ya my friend... one emotion I didn't see was hungover. LMAO.. could have used that today. Stay cool :)
hugs

I said a prayer for you this week. I had a feeling you were feeling a little blue with Hubby gone. Glad you are back!
Traci
We have had so much rain lately! We opened the pool in the middle of May and we were able to get in the first time yesterday...92 degrees outside but only 77 degrees in the pool!! :)
Hope you have a great week!!!
(((HUGS)))
Gillie
Nicole is always reminding me that she's now 18 too! LOL
Hope you have a good week.
Missie
sorry the "moody blues" are playing for you right now, you are one tough cookie to have a hubby who has to leave you, keep your chin up. I haven't updated my blog in I can't even remember, had pneumonia, then pancreatitis, and yes getting old is a "*(^*&%*%!!!!!!!) Deb
I know it must be hard being alone like that. I've never been in a situation that I have that much time to myself. Hope you have a happy week. : )
Allison
Im sure your son will have a great time in Myrtle Beach. Sounds like fun. Happy birthday to him. They do grow up fast. I'm sorry your missing your hubby.
It is very hot here too. We are in the 90's also. Unbelieveable for sure. The Walmart I went to over the weekend was a busy one, but yes, I think people are beginning to consider the cost of gas and be choosy about where they go. I know the feeling of taking over chores that others used to help with. Now by myself I am it and it does what ever gets done. Some things just don't get done. Take care in the heat. 'On Ya' - ma
(((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGSTOYOU)))))))))))))))))))))))Yes,it has also been very hot,and we have been getting really bad storms with also Tornado warnings, which we will have tonight.I am tired of them to.I am sorry you have been feeling under the weather.I hope you are feeling better.I hope your Husband comes home soon.Have a nice week.
I've been thinking of you and hoping you are adapting to hubby being in Japan and make sure you throw a big party and make lots of island summer drinks and have a grand time and go shopping and do fun things for you to help keep your mind off of him being gone!! I would be in third heaven LOL. I didn't know this was Japan's rain season.... I think I would tan by the pool, workout, do only experimental fun baking and cooking, eat only a salad each day and maybe some fruit and chicken, and sew lots of clothes... and read and write stuff. Oh and shop, shop, shop whenever money presented itself. LOL. Have a blast!!!
Lisa
Myrtle Beach is the place to go if you're 18-30 years old... and single. A belated Happy Anniversary to you, even though it doesn't seem so happy with your hubby away. Japan should be a great place for him to visit if he ever gets off ship. Maybe some day he can bring you there. Stay busy, time always flies if you stay busy. Just the same, try to enjoy time with your friends. have a good week, and thanks for coming by my journal this week. bea
Hot here too...ick...long hot summer ahead. Let's stick to the a/c!
Our petrol (gas) here in England is now at an average of £1.17 per LITRE!! And rising. You do have to be a bit choosy what journeys you make.
love, Angie, xx
Playing catch up as usual Lyn.
Sorry to hear your feeling a bit under the weather..... hope your feeling better soon.
hugs Jayne
Hi Lynn, been MIA myself for quite a while still trying to catch up with everyone lol. Sorry to hear that your hubby has had to go away and such a long way away too you must miss him terribly, at least you have loving kids to help you out. Hope you soon feel more normal lol.
All the best
